See Tutankhamun in Seattle on May 26

Tutankhamun. That boy king who reigned over nearly three thousand years ago. Now is your chance to see this exhibit, before it leaves North America and who knows when it will come back. Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs is on display from May 24, 2012 to January 6, 2013 and features more than 100 artifacts from the king’s tomb as well as other important sites. It sure is a chance to see some artifacts, which never before have been seen on this part of the world!

The time and program of the event are still in the works, but we will post the information as soon as it is available. Prepare to meet early in the day and return to Vancouver late at night.

  • 6.30 a.m. – Meet (location to be determined)
  • 11 a.m. – Arrive in Seattle at the Pacific Science Center
  • 11.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. – Visit to Exhibit and Lunch
  • 5 p.m. – Dinner
  • 6.30 p.m. – Return for Vancouver
  • 11.30 p.m. – Arrival in Vancouver

Ticket Cost

Buying a ticket is the responsibility of the participant and is not part of your registration cost.

  • Adults (16-64) – US$ 32.50
  • Seniors (65+) – US$ 29.50
  • Student (with ID) – US$ 29.50
  • Youth (6-15) – US$ 21.50
  • Child (3-5) – US$ 20.50
It is pertinent that you purchase your ticket as soon as possible as entry to the exhibit on the day of the visit are limited.


We will be renting two vans to travel to the museum. Members of the society will get a members rate as a benefit of their membership. Expect the following costs depending on the number of persons going:
  • Members: between $ 25 to $ 35**
  • Non-Members: between $ 35 to $ 45**


Before departure, you will also have to fill out and sign a waiver of liability, which will be emailed to you a few days prior.

Travel Documents

Be reminded that attaining all the required travel documents are the responsibility of each participant! As we will be entering the United States, you will have to make sure you have all the required documents. This is not the responsibility of the Vancouver SSEA and we cannot take any responsibility!
